ANALOGÓNIA

'Analogónia' was an open studio exhibition in Lisbon 2006, space in which Mónica Lima and Raquel Feliciano worked, each one on their projects. The tittle is an invented term by the artists, as a combination of 'analogy' and 'territory'. 'Analogonia' is therefore a sort of land, a geographical hypothesis, without a defined coordinate in space or time, of the correspondence between ideas. It also describes the process of creating or imposing analogies to events, transforming their contingencies into synchronocities.
The show aimed to present the work of the 2 artist produced along those 9 months, and the contamination and exchange of ideas and references along the individual processes of work. The small publication attempted to leave a trace of both the individual works but also of this process of contamination in which they were created.
